School is out! A tip from the CMEDS program for this summer!
Posted on June 12, 2018
With the upcoming school holidays, a friendly reminder, that CMEDS equipment should not be left in schools over the holidays. CMEDS equipment is part of the At Home Medical Benefits Program and meant to provide the child with the necessary equipment for daily living in the family/client’s home. While clients use equipment at schools, it should not be left unattended over break as equipment can become damaged (ie.: Powerchair or lift becomes discharged from non-use, tires become flat, damages occur from equipment being left) or lost. Please note lost or stolen equipment or repairs not due to normal wear and tear are not covered by the At Home Program. The best course of action is to arrange for equipment to be in a client’s home, and not left unattended over any school break.
