February 14, 2024 (RICHMOND, B.C.) – HME Home Health is thrilled to announce the launch of its new HME Signature Series bariatric surface, the HME Coho Mattress. The exclusive HME Signature Series product line was designed to ensure clients can access high-quality products in every major home medical equipment category and has now grown to 10 products.
“HME is committed to continuing to respond to market gaps and product needs with our innovative and exclusive HME Signature Series,” said Robert Boscacci, CEO and Co-Founder. “Recently, we’ve seen a steady growth in the bariatric market space, and in late 2022, HME was approached by several funders and therapists with a desire to see a heavy-duty mattress added to our growing Signature Series lineup.”
Robert continued, “The result of over six months of clinical development and product testing has led to the exclusive manufacturing for HME Home Health of the HME Signature Series Coho Mattress.”
Commenting on the clinical aspects of the new heavy-duty mattress, COO and leader of HME’s Clinical Development Team, Michelle Harvey, said, “The HME Signature Series Coho brings the best value in class pressure distribution for a client needing a mattress with a higher weight capacity by combining the latest in green foam technologies and pressure redistribution properties to ensure users are safe and can receive a restful sleep.”
Cameron Fleming, CIIO and Co-Founder, stated, “The HME Signature Series Coho will build upon the success of our Signature Series line of mattresses. We first entered the market with our entry- and mid-level pressure redistribution mattresses, the HME Signature Series Luna and the HME Signature Series Otter. These two mattresses were then followed by the HME Signature Series Dove, which has become Canada’s best-selling Low Air Loss Mattress.”
“We anticipate that the HME Signature Series Coho will continue with the pattern of success that our other Signature Series mattresses have enjoyed,” Fleming said.
Regional Sales Manager Gavin Dhanoi shared in the excitement of the new mattress, “The addition of a heavy-duty mattress into our Signature Series Line, which will be available at all seven of our locations and throughout B.C., will allow us to serve a greater client market and have options to suit all client needs.”
The HME Signatures Series was first launched in 2020 and has steadily expanded to include the HME Signature Series Bumblebee Cushion, HME Signature Series Otter Mattress, HME Signature Series Luna Mattress, HME Signature Series Dove Mattress, HME Signature Series LTC 9000 Mattress, HME Signature Series Positioning Sling, HME Grab and Go Manual Wheelchair, HME Grab and Go Tilt Wheelchair, the HME Signature Series NS2 Cushion, the HME Signature Series GD2 Cushion and the HME Signature Series Coho Mattress.
Starting from a single operation in B.C.’s Lower Mainland a decade ago, HME has expanded aggressively across the province in recent years and today has seven locations and over 75,000 sq ft. of office and warehouse in Richmond, Victoria, Surrey, Nanaimo, North Vancouver, and Kelowna.
The company’s workforce is comprised of over 120 highly-trained professionals, technicians, and support staff.
