June 15, 2023 (Richmond, B.C.) HME Home Health Ltd., British Columbia’s award-winning and fastest-growing home-medical equipment company, ended a busy spring tradeshow season with the prestigious BC Care Provider’s Safety Product Innovation Award for their exclusive HME Signature Series Dove Mattress.
“HME is thrilled to have won the BC Care Provider’s Safety Product Innovation Award, which recognized excellence in new and innovative products that promote Patient Safety,” said Robert Boscacci, HME’s Co-Founder and CEO.
“Our HME Signature Series Dove Mattress was clinically designed here in Canada, exclusively for HME, to prevent and manage skin injuries using alternating pressure and micro low air loss technologies,” he said. “Our clinical team developed unique features based on client and industry feedback. It has proven to be the ideal low air loss mattress choice for managing pressure wounds for patients aged from pediatric to geriatric.”
HME’s Vice President of Sales & Product, Michelle Harvey, who spearheaded the clinical design and testing of the HME Dove, drew attention to the strong teamwork that enabled HME to bring the award-winning mattress to market.
“The HME Dove showcases the strong talent that HME has within our staff team,” she said. “From our Marketing Manager, Shirley Le, who designed the Dove’s control box and worked with our IT Analyst, Aashray Garg, to develop the subsequent QR codes for client troubleshooting and setup guides, to our Long-Term Care Team of Gavin Dhanoi, Assistant Manager, and Brian Quach, Senior Sales Team Member who have provided essential industry feedback and who have been integral in marketing the HME Dove to our LTC partners, it really has been a team effort.”
Cameron Fleming, Co-Founder, and CIIO, noted that the BC Care Providers Conference was just one of many Spring events that HME was showcased at.
“We’ve had a busy spring, not only with the BC Care Providers Conference but also with the Canadian Healthcare Engineering Society Conference and the Educational Facility Managers Association of B.C. conference, both of which were held in Penticton,” he said. “Our Contracting Division team, led by Eli Paradis, Assistant Manager, made great connections and showcased HME’s unique product offering at the two Interior Conferences, and we look forward to working closely with our new contacts made at these two important events.”
Starting from a single location in B.C.’s Lower Mainland a decade ago, HME has expanded aggressively across the province in recent years and today has six store-warehouse operations in Richmond, Victoria, Surrey, Nanaimo, North Vancouver, and Kelowna.
The company’s workforce is comprised of over 110 highly-trained professionals, technicians, and support staff.
