HME has donated $250 to Brett Cummings, Deputy Sherriff and one of the official riders for the Canadian Cancer Society’s 2021 Cops for Cancer Tour de Valley. The Cops for Cancer program is part of the Canadian Cancer Society and raises funds for pediatric cancer research and support programs and services for children and families living with cancer.
The Tour de Valley is a five-day bike tour across the Fraser Valley. This year, from September 20 to September 24, our Tour team of law enforcement, emergency services personnel and guest riders will ride over 500 km throughout the Fraser Valley. They will be visiting many local schools and businesses to raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer research and support programs such as Camp Goodtimes, a program for children and families living with cancer. The goal this year is to raise over $250,000.
The success of our Tour relies greatly on our riders and support from their local communities. As a rider, Brett is committed to raise $4000, as well as be able to physically complete five days of riding with the Tour de Valley team. He will spend the next several months fundraising in his community to reach his goal. We hope that you will consider supporting Brett in his efforts this year.
