The owners and employees of HME Mobility & Accessibility are exceptionally proud to announce their company’s coming expansion to Surrey at #140 – 19288 22 Avenue. HME is a full service medical distribution company selling, renting and servicing pediatric, adult and senior medical products to government organizations, health authorities and end consumers.“We are thrilled to announce the impending opening of HME’s third location in the Campbell Heights area of South Surrey,” said Cameron Fleming, a principal and co-owner of the company.
“Our brand-new building is in a very transit-friendly neighbourhood, just off 192nd Street, with convenient, safe parking at the store-front’s entrance.”
Robert Boscacci, also a HME principal and co-owner, noted that the new Surrey location will have a number of unique features and services.
“Our Surrey store will be home to our new Vehicle Modification division,” said Boscacci. “The building also has a large, private-assessment room with a full X-Y ceiling-lift system.”
He added: “The operation will have all of the equipment and staff necessary to serve existing and future home-care needs in Surrey and the Fraser Valley.”
HME’s head office is in Richmond, and last year a second location was opened on Vancouver Island in downtown Victoria.
Fleming and Boscacci observed that HME’s new South Surrey store-front is the “logical, next step” in their company’s expansion plans, noting that both HME and the Surrey-Fraser Valley region were growing quickly. With many multi-generational families moving east, HME’s product offerings – which include everything from pediatric equipment to high performance mobility options and long-term care product solutions – HME is a one-stop destination catering to the entire family.
Between 2001 and 2015, the combined population of Surrey and White Rock grew from 387,602 to 545,331 – an increase of 157,729, or 40.7 per cent.
Over the same period, the populations of the City and District of Langley, combined with Abbotsford and Chilliwack, expanded by 68,535, or 22.5 per cent.
“We believe that population and economic growth will continue in the region over the foreseeable future,” said Boscacci. “And HME intends to be at the forefront of serving residents’ medical and health-care needs.”
Fleming concluded: “From our new location in Surrey we will cater to private clients, as well as the Fraser Health Authority, offering independence to residents and helping to keep hospital beds clear for critical care.”
Formerly known as Healthlinc Medical Equipment Ltd., HME specializes in Rehabilitation, Mobility and Accessibility Products, and is western Canada’s largest dealer for Bruno Stairlifts.
HME also is a proud ‘Provincial Provider’ for the B.C.-Yukon ALS Society, and offers short-term equipment loans to families through both Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health Authority Palliative Loan programs.
The company now has over 40 employees working in Richmond, Victoria and the soon-to-open Surrey location.
