December 23rd, 2021 (North Vancouver, BC) – Co-founders Robert Boscacci, CEO and Cameron Fleming, CIIO of HME Mobility and Accessibility – British Columbia’s largest and fastest-growing home-medical equipment supplier – are pleased to announce that North Vancouver has been selected as the site for their newest store location.
“The new store, our fourth, will open in North Vancouver on January 3, 2022 – and once we are up and running, the new location is expected to employ approximately 10 highly-trained professionals and support staff,” said Robert Boscacci.
“We are thrilled to provide enhanced access and service for our existing North Shore clients,” said Cameron Fleming, “and we welcome the opportunity to make new acquaintances in North and West Vancouver, as well as in Lions Bay, Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton – and beyond.”
HME’s fourth store will be at 1484 Rupert Street in North Vancouver. The original HME store and warehouse is in Richmond, with new locations opened in recent years in Victoria, and Surrey.
An immense array of mobility devices and medical equipment is available from HME, including wheelchairs, power chairs, walkers, hospital beds and mattresses, along with other durable medical equipment, plus stairlifts and vertical platform lifts, ramps and other installed products. Professionally-trained HME staff will custom fit.
The company operates with four distinct divisions – Rehab and Home Medical Products, Accessibility, Pediatrics, and LongTerm Care – each of which is staffed by trained, dedicated and compassionate professionals.
HME’s Manager of Sales and Client Services, Michelle Harvey, is a trained Occupational Therapist with more than a decade of experience in the mobility and accessibility industry. “On behalf of my HME colleagues,” she said, “I can say that all of us are tremendously excited to help open our fourth store in North Vancouver.”
Those comments were echoed by Nicole Saxvik, a Senior Sales Representative with HME, who will be reassigned to North Vancouver from the Richmond office. “I’m really looking forward to working at our new site, which will feature a custom fitting room, pediatric and adult equipment, and full accessibility,” she said.
Hector Teopengco, HME Install Team Manager, sees a tremendous opportunity to offer services and equipment to new, North Shore clients. “Already we have a thriving market for our accessibility products, including stairlifts,” he said. “With the new store, we’ll be able to offer improved, faster service with both service and installations.”
Rob Fuzesi, a veteran HME Senior Sales Representative, noted that the North Shore is home to the Squamish Nation and Tsleil-Waututh First Nation. “I’ve worked with many First Nations clients over my many years in the industry, and I’m looking forward to building new relationships with the Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh communities from HME’s new North Vancouver office.”
HME, a Canadian-owned company, today has over 100 staff working out of nearly 50,000 square feet of office and warehouse space – and those numbers will increase with the new North Vancouver location.
