In 2020, HME’s CEO, Robert, identified an industry demand for locally sourced, Canadian-made, high-quality home medical equipment at an affordable price for all Canadians. Realizing that there was a hole in the marketplace to fill the demand for this equipment, that also met professional clinical standards while still offering best-in-class pricing, Robert and the HME team decided to launch an in-house brand, the HME Signature Series line of products.

The HME Signature Series aims to ensure that clients have access to high-quality products in every major home medical equipment category that meets the growing market demands.

HME Signature Series – Quality & Environmental Foundation

Quality is the number one foundation of HME’s Signature Series. Therefore, HME’s Executive Team annually conducts site visits at all HME Signature Series production facilities. These site visits allow our team to see firsthand that our quality and safety standards are being met. Furthermore, our production partners must hold valid Class 1 & Class 2 Health Canada Medical Device Licenses and meet all ISO Standards.

We offer an industry-leading one-year warranty on all HME Signature Series products to ensure consumer confidence.

Our commitment to the environment is a further foundation for all HME Signature Series products. All HME Signature Series products are produced using sound environmental practices, where possible, with recycled materials. All waste material and end-of-life products are recycled and disposed of in accordance with local guidelines.

Furthermore, HME is committed to protecting the environment through thoughtful evaluation and consistent impact mitigation of our organization’s environmental footprint. By 2030, HME intends to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions. We are de-carbonizing all aspects of our company and working towards decoupling our business growth from our emissions. HME’s Clinical Research Team is led by our Vice-President, Michelle Harvey, OT. The HME Signature Series aims to design and manufacture products that meet all applicable clinical standards while creating user-friendly products that are easy to set up and maintain.
