HME has been busy helping OT’s solve their clients’ high-pressure problems.
A couple recent pressure mapping scenarios that we’ve encountered are listed below. Can you guess what we did to assist the OT in providing a better pressure-redistribution option for their client?
Scenario #1
We worked with an OT and a client who was currently on a bed-rest protocol to off-load a pressure sore near the client’s IT. The OT and our HME rep worked on an alternate position to off-load that wasn’t the client’s bed. Can you guess what product allowed the client to re-distribute pressure and achieve this pressure mapping result?
Scenario # 2
An OT and HME rep worked together to assist a client who was still not healing an IT wound, even though the client was in a tilt chair and on a Roho Cushion. Can you guess what adjustments and additions our HME rep and OT did to achieve these results?
